Comenius-Project - Young people on the way
These web pages are a summary of our project work over the past two years. Our theme was "Innovation in tourism - Young people on the way". This double title results from the fact that in Warsaw and Sibiu many things have changed in the last 10 years and in Pesaro and Vienna things remained as before. All four schools have tried to focus on tourism for young people, but of course we also have dealt with the landmarks and the places our towns are famous for. In the second year we worked on protected areas and how it's possible to visit these places without damaging the environment. Concerning "Young people on the way" we in-cluded bikeways, which are a very urgent request of the students of Sibiu and Warsaw; both schools got in touch with the local governments about this request. The partners realised that Vienna has the best conditions for cyclists. The students of our four towns practised guiding with these texts during teachers' and students' visits to the partners. So we got to know our own places much better than before. Our common language is English, so the texts are written in English. We also tried to write about our impressions when visiting the partners. We hope that our readers will enjoy these web pages which gives just a glimpse of our towns and some places around. Lore Brandl-Berger (coordinator of the project)
